|Sergio joined IPD Latin America in 2012. His expertise as a Consultant has focused on political, social and regulatory developments within Colombia, and how they affect the country’s energy industry, including the renewables and oil and gas sectors. He has extensive regional expertise in community issues, regulatory developments and security. As a member of IPD’s renewable energy team, Sergio has focused on monitoring regulatory developments and identifying emerging opportunities. Prior to joining IPD, Sergio worked in the Bogota-based offices of Control Risks as a political and security analyst and researcher. During his three years with the company, he was responsible for providing in-depth analysis of Andean Region politics and security, as well as regional analysis in Colombia for the power, mining, infrastructure, oil, and gas industries. Sergio holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. He also holds a Master of Arts in Global Studies from the Universities of Wroclaw (Poland) and Leipzig (Germany).|

Currently, among other projects, the construction of the first solar park in Cartagena and the first independent solar park in Colombia is being completed.
